Gary Lineker and ex-wife Danielle Bux enjoy holiday together in Ibiza
Not even divorce can get in the way of a good holiday
GARY Lineker and ex-wife Danielle Bux have taken a leaf from the Chris and Gwyneth book of divorce and have remained firm friends - as their current holiday in Ibiza is proving.
The pair, who split in January, have been uploading an array of sun-soaked pool pics and beach shots from the White Isle, where they appear to have been joined by 37-year-old Danielle’s daughter Ella, 14, and celebrating the birthday of their friend Jackie.
However, Gary, 55, has been quick to deny there that the two are planning on getting back together, after reports at the weekend suggested they in the midst of a reconciliation.
The retired England footballer, who has three sons, George, Harry and Tobias from his marriage to Michelle Cockayne, took to Twitter to inform fans that they “remain close friends.”
He posted: “More fabricated nonsense in press. @DanielleBux and I remain close friends. Our kids do too, but we're not back together. We're grown-ups.”
Gary recently opened up to The Telegraph about how it’s difficult to go through a divorce when you’re in the public eye.
He said: “Obviously when you know you are going through something personal that you know is going to become public, it makes it quite difficult, and it becomes a weight on your shoulders.
“We're fine, we get on brilliantly. We have a lovely relationship, and that's how we are. And that's genuine.”
