Azaylia Cain’s mum Safiyya supported by family as she visits baby daughter’s grave after funeral
AZAYLIA Cain’s mum Safiyya was supported by family members as she visited her baby daughter’s grave after her funeral on Friday.
The heartbroken parent put on a brave face as she was joined by eight-month-old Azaylia’s aunties for the outing.
Safiyya looked emotional as she walked over to Azaylia’s grave, showing off the flowers that spelt out her name and the image of a lion from her funeral procession.
She crouched down to the ground as she filmed, with one of Azaylia’s tearful aunties immediately turning to the grieving mum and giving her an affectionate kiss on the cheek – as well as an auntie on her other side.
Safiyya added Mariah Carey hit Hero to the short video clips, which also showed off a line of flowers and orange balloons that had been placed at Azaylia’s grave.
She wrote: “I love you baby” before adding: “Praying with your aunties”.
Earlier today, Safiyya and partner Ashley Cain shared moving images from Azaylia’s funeral as they reflected on the sad day.
In one image, Safiyya can be seen being comforted by Ashley as she stood beside Azaylia’s grave.
She captioned the heartbreaking post: “Azaylia Diamond Cain 💎

Locals lined the streets on Friday to say goodbye to Azaylia after her leukaemia battle touched hearts across the globe.
Many wore orange, the colour used to represent her fight, and held balloons as the horse-drawn carriage carrying her coffin passed.
Ashley previously said that planning the funeral had “brought him to his knees”, with he and Safiyya surrounded by loved ones on the impossibly difficult day.
At the beginning of April, the devoted parents revealed that doctors had told them they could no longer treat Azaylia’s leukaemia, which she was diagnosed with at just eight weeks old.
The family had just raised over £1million for her to get specialist treatment in Singapore when they were delivered the heartbreaking news, with medics finding tumours throughout her body – including on her brain.
In the weeks that followed, Azaylia needed several blood transfusions as she started to cry blood, and suffer nosebleeds – with purple bruises also appearing on her body as her illness meant that her blood could not clot.
She stopped breathing several times and began to suffer seizures in her final days, with Safiyya and Ashley providing their daughter round-the-clock care alongside their close family members.
Azaylia passed away at home on 24 April, with Ashley and Safiyya both paying emotional tribute as they broke the news on social media the following day.
