Pop powerhouses Adele and Beyonce set battle it out in SEVEN categories at this year’s VMAs
Superstars will challenge for Video of the Year, Best Female Video and Best Pop Video, among several others
ADELE will battle her idol BEYONCE at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards.
The two superstars are up against each other in seven different categories at next month’s music bash.
While Beyonce has scored a career-best 11 nominations from her visual album Lemonade, Adele still managed an impressive eight — the majority for her comeback single Hello.
The pair will go head to head as they challenge for Video of the Year, Best Female Video and Best Pop Video, among several others.
It is the first sign that Adele could be on for another Grammys haul when the annual US ceremony rolls around next year.
The Brit singer will have divided loyalties when the awards do comes around on August 28 in New York, as she has previously made no secret of her love for Beyonce.

CALVIN HARRIS is up for three prizes, including Best Male Video, as are British veterans COLDPLAY.
Former One Direction star ZAYN could also scoop his first solo VMA, while the late DAVID BOWIE could win two posthumous awards for Lazarus.
