Corrie’s Steve McDonald slammed by viewers and mum Liz over decision to have babies with Michelle AND Leanne

CORONATION Street's Steve McDonald has been slammed by mum Liz and the show's viewers over his decision to have a baby with wife Michelle AND Leanne Battersby.
The soap favourite's world was rocked last week when Leanne (Jane Danson) revealed he was the dad of her unborn baby after a secret one night stand a few weeks ago during a rough patch with Michelle (Kym Marsh).
But for some crazy reason, Steve - played by Simon Gregson - thinks its a good idea to also agree to having a baby with his wife, and his mother Liz (Beverly Callard) is far from impressed.
Having confided in his mum about his predicament with Leanne, Liz is stunned when Steve announces to Michelle that he will have a child with her.
Coming into the Rovers Return's living room, he said: "I thought about what you said. I agree. I think [having a baby] could be the best thing for the both of us."
Michelle told her mother straight way, answering the phone and saying: “Mum, you’re not going to believe it!”

As she dashes from the room, Steve preempts his mother's reaction, telling her he doesn't want to hear it.
"I bet you don't" his mum hisses, adding: "This has got disaster written all over it".
Her hapless son can only reply: "Well, we'll see", to which Liz says ominously: "Indeed we shall".
Fans were also up in arms about the storyline, taking to Twitter to share their opinion.
One viewer wrote: "Steve McDonald needs to keep his snake in his trousers the dirty dog," while another added: "Oh great more of Steve McDonald's offspring running around Corrie just what the world needs" alongside a series of crying face emojis.
A fellow soap fan said Steve was in "some hot water" while another added: "Can't stop laughing at Steve McDonald, he's having a right mare".
Another fan was not impressed with the turn of events, writing: "Steve gets leanne knocked up now Michelle wants a baby!!! Stupid story line, wouldn't happen #corrie."
However another made a joke about the character's abilities in the bedroom, posting: "I have a craving for Pork Scratchings........Think I maybe pregnant to Steve McDonald.... #Corrie".
