Sequel to smash hit Jurassic World movie set to be filmed in Wales
Lush green countryside around Brecon Beacons and Penbryn seen as perfect habitat for dinosaurs in latest flick
THE sequel to Hollywood smash hit Jurassic World is to be shot in Wales.
Producers have chosen areas around the Brecon Beacons as the perfect backdrop for the dinosaurs to run riot in the next film.
Cast and crew are expected to shoot the scenes in South Wales later this year.
A source said: “The lush green setting and countryside fitted the bill.
“Producers have been assessing potentially suitable areas all over the UK but chose the Valleys as a prominent area to film.
“Locals will be on the lookout when Hollywood high-rollers come into town.”

Bosses are also set to film scenes in Penbryn, North Wales, and at Pinewood Studios, which has a complex in Cardiff.
The Welsh studios have 70,000 sq ft of shooting space, including two 20,000 sq ft stages.
Using computer technology, producers can make the area look like South America — where fictional dinosaur island Isla Nublar is based.
Doctor Who and James Bond have previously been shot in the area.
Last year’s Jurassic World movie, starring Chris Pratt, made a record £1billion at the box office.
The sequel, due for release in 2018, will also be shot in London.
Writer Colin Trevorrow revealed the film would not all be based on Isla Nublar, as “that’ll get old fast”.
