Katy and Taylor haven’t been on speaking terms for quite some time now, particularly since Taylor released her single Bad Blood which appears to allude to their feud.

But while Katy’s mother Mary Hudson is adamant that her daughter was rising above it all, her husband, and Katy’s father Keith Hudson remained unconvinced.

Speaking to Grazia magazine, Mary said: “Katy released 'Rise'. It says, 'My feet have been put to the fire but I will rise.' That's what she's about right now."

But Keith insisted: “You know it ain't over yet."

Earlier this month, Katy took to her Twitter page to post a subtle tweet that seemed to be about Taylor’s drama with Kanye West and Kim Kardashian after Kim accused her of being a “liar”.

Referencing her new single, Katy wrote, “#RISE above it all” with a photo of the single cover.

Katy and Taylor fell out in 2012 when Katy stole Taylor's back up dancers.

And Taylor’s song Bad Blood, which she released two years later, is reportedly about Katy who she sings is a "straight-up enemy" that tried to "sabotage an entire tour".

Katy also had a dig at the singer during the row with her ex-boyfriend Calvin Harris, who called Taylor on Twitter after she revealed she secretly wrote his track 'This Is What You Came For', despite initially wanting to stay anonymous.

He tweeted: “I know you’re off tour and you need someone new to try and bury like Katy ETC but I’m not that guy, sorry.”

Katy simply posted a GIF of Hillary Clinton with a knowing smile and retweeted an old tweet from May last year which read: “Time, the ultimate truth teller.”
