Corrie viewers praise 11-year-old actor’s heartbreaking speech at Kylie’s funeral
Many were left teary-eyed after watching his sad monologue
CORRIE viewers were left in tears - and awe - after watching Max Turner's speech at his mum's funeral.
Fans of the show rushed to praise Harry McDermott, who plays Max in the long-running soap, after his eulogy on tonight's episode.
Kylie was killed after she was stabbed by yob Clayton after she saw him hassling Gemma in the street.
The 11-year-old actor has appeared on Coronation Street as Kylie's son since 2010.
He stood by her coffin and shakily holding a piece of paper with stepdad David by his side. Max began by saying: "Nobody's mum was like my mum - mine was better. The best."
The camera then panned to a teary-eyed Gail and Audrey before he continued: "When the teachers said we couldn't have nice food, she brought chips to school for me."

Sarah and Bethany were seen watching on sadly as he said: "And when I was scared that Callum, my real dad, was going to come for me, she'd always tell me I'd be ok. That she and David would do anything for me. And not to be scared"
Stepdad David couldn't help a tear escape as Max looked heartbroken, but carried on: "And she did. She always did, always looked after me."
David leaned in to make sure his stepson was ok, whispering: "Hey, you alright, ok?"
The rest of the people attending the funeral were in pieces over his sad speech - and so were Corrie fans, who heaped on the praise for the young actor.
One commented: "OK, I was in tears at his eulogy. Harry McDermott (Max) is such a good actor #Corrie @itvcorrie".
Another agreed: "The little lad who plays max is such a great actor #Corrie".
Some Twitter users suggested that the 11-year-old should win an award for his performance.
One wrote: "'Hope you're not scared?' The actor playing Max is in for some awards #Corrie".
Another said: "@itvcorrie what an amazing little actor little Max is, amazing send off for Kylie #RIPKylie #Corrie should be proud!!!"
One fan commented: "If you're watching Corrie and not blubbing at Max's little speech, you need to have a serious word with yourself."
