Shannen Doherty breaks down as she reveals her breast cancer has spread in heart-breaking interview
The 90210 star admitted she is worried she will survive this
SHANNEN Doherty has revealed the heart-breaking news that her breast cancer has spread - despite undergoing a single mastectomy earlier this year.
The 45-year-old actress has been fighting breast cancer since last year but now the cancer has spread to her lymph nodes.
Speaking during a highly emotional interview on Entertainment Tonight, she said: "I had breast cancer that spread to the lymph nodes, and from one of my surgeries we discovered that some of the cancer cells might have actually gone out of the lymph nodes.
"So for that reason, we are doing chemo, and then after chemo, I'll do radiation."
The star – who is best known for her role as Brenda Walsh in Beverly Hills, 90210 – went on to admit that she is worried about her future.
"The unknown is always the scariest part. Is the chemo going to work? Is the radiation going to work? You know, am I going to have to go through this again, or am I going to get secondary cancer?,” she shared.
"Everything else is manageable. Pain is manageable, you know living without a breast is manageable, it's the worry of your future and how your future is going to affect the people that you love."

She also very candidly admitted that there are times when she worries if she will survive.
"It's hard, I started thinking that I wasn't going to live ... I don't look past today,” she said.
"I don't know if I'll ever look like me again."
However, Shannen is determined to beat the disease and is doing everything she can to fight it.
She said: "I want to believe that if I fight. I'm gonna be okay."
Shannen recently shaved her head and posted pictures on Instagram and her former co-star Jason Priestley, 46, called her "brave" for sharing her struggle.
He said: "What she did the other day, shaving her head and posting the pictures and everything, that was incredibly brave. Shannen's a strong kid and a tough fighter, and I know that she's gonna come through this fight and she's gonna be OK."
Shannen - who is currently married to her third husband Kurt Iswarienko - revealed her diagnosis in August 2015.
