LOVE Island fans have been left in a mass panic after ITV Hub crashed just moments before the series was due to return this evening.

Fans depending on the online platform to watch tonight’s launch are in chaos, with the page not loading and an error message popping up instead.

Love Island is due to kick off tonight

The issues appeared to begin around one hour before Love Island’s 9pm kick-off, and would-be viewers flocked to Twitter to share their fear.

One wrote: “ITV Hub is down… DO YOU GUYS NOT KNOW IT’S LOVE ISLAND DAY??”

Another added: “Lol someone at ITV Hub is getting fired. How can the hub not be working on the evening of Love Island starting? Shambles.”

A third agreed: “P***ed off because ITV is crashing on my TV, laptop and phone.

Would-be viewers are getting an error message

“Love Island is in 25 mins we ain’t got time for this.”

One more panicked: “ITV really had a year and a half to prepare for the new Love Island and they might not even get it to air properly”

Another wrote: “If ITV Hub isn’t fixed by the time Love Island starts and I can’t double screen I’m going to boil my head”.

Responding to the chaos in a brief statement, ITV said: “We are currently experiencing technical difficulties and working on getting services back as soon as possible.”

Laura Whitmore returns as host for tonight’s Love Island launch, the first series in 18 months after the ongoing coronavirus pandemic saw the summer 2020 series get cancelled.

Viewers couldn’t be more excited for the summer fun to begin, with the first batch of contestants revealed last week.
