The issues appeared to begin around one hour before Love Island’s 9pm kick-off, and would-be viewers flocked to Twitter to share their fear.
One wrote: “ITV Hub is down… DO YOU GUYS NOT KNOW IT’S LOVE ISLAND DAY??”
Another added: “Lol someone at ITV Hub is getting fired. How can the hub not be working on the evening of Love Island starting? Shambles.”
A third agreed: “P***ed off because ITV is crashing on my TV, laptop and phone.
“Love Island is in 25 mins we ain’t got time for this.”
One more panicked: “ITV really had a year and a half to prepare for the new Love Island and they might not even get it to air properly”
Another wrote: “If ITV Hub isn’t fixed by the time Love Island starts and I can’t double screen I’m going to boil my head”.
