Kerry Katona devastated after £2m dream home deal falls through and she’s forced to rent £9,500 a month Cheshire mansion

KERRY Katona dream of owning a new home has fallen through just days after celebrating getting the keys.

The 40-year-old mum of five burst into tears when she accepted the keys to the £2million mansion, but it turns out she actually renting the property.

"So because of this she is renting the property for six months whilst looking for a new home up north."

Kerry announced in May she'd bought her 'dream home' and was overcome outside the mansion after battling back from bankruptcy and moving into the fancy new pad.

She has also overcome addiction and was seen sobbing with joy outside the jaw-dropping home just yesterday.

Emotional Kerry later showed off her home to fans on Instagram, insisting she was finally back on top.

Speaking about her return to Cheshire, she said: "The last time I lived here I was doing loads of coke, losing all my money, hanging around d***heads who used and abused me.

"Not only have I climbed halfway back up I’ve climbed all the way up to the top."

"Who’d have thought I’d have made it through? If you were to put a bet at the bookies if I was going to end up dead, I would have taken that bet."

The open-plan property has gleaming floorboards and tiles, white walls and blue walls, and cottage-style beams on the ceiling.

It also features a state-of-the-art kitchen, a spiral staircase, and spotlights.

The house backs onto a small lake and Kerry has a huge garden, with an area to socialise on sofas.

She said she couldn't have turned her life around without the love and support of her boyfriend Ryan Mahoney.

She concluded: "Me and Ryan are entrepreneurs and we’ve been creating this little empire of ours and I’m so super proud.

"I’ve worked really hard to turn this all around. And I wouldn’t have been able to do this without my Ryan."

Kerry previously lived in Surrey with Ryan and her children, Heidi, 14, and Max, 13, from her marriage to Mark Croft, and seven-year-old Dylan-Jorge, daughter of her late ex-husband George Kay.

The mum-of-five said she was looking forward to welcoming her family into the home, but she reminisced about her old life with late ex-husband George Kay who died of an overdose.

She said: "I can’t wait for the rest of the family to get here. Just leaving (old house) was bitter sweet really.

"They are my last memories with George and DJ. It upsets me because DJ was only five. Look how far we’ve come. She’s a great kid and she’s going to have a wonderful life."
