Lisa Snowdon to guest present ITV’s Lorraine show
The busty brunette will act as a stand-in host next week
EARLY bird presenter Lisa Snowdon is no stranger to a crack of dawn wake-up-call and next week it will be familiar territory as she fronts ITV breakfast show Lorraine.
The brunette will take on hosting duties on Lorraine Kelly’s gossip show for five days from Monday.
The fans’ favourite took to Twitter to say she was “Soooo excited!!!” to follow bubbly Fiona Phillips as the latest stand-in while the Scot is on holiday.
Lisa, 44, said: “I’m so excited to be stepping into Lorraine Kelly’s shoes for a week.
“I’m a huge fan of the show, so it’s a real honour for me to be asked to cover. The lineup for the show next week is looking fantastic as well, so I really can’t wait!”
The ex Big Breakfast star will be nattering to X Factor star Sam Bailey, fashion designer David Emanuel and Emmerdale’s Denise Black.
Girls Aloud singer Sarah Harding and singer Ray Quinn will also be revealing all about their latest projects.
Editor of Lorraine, Sue Walton, said: “I’m delighted to welcome Lisa to the Lorraine show for a week – millions enjoyed waking up to her unique brand of warmth and fun when she hosted breakfast radio.
“Whilst she stands in for Lorraine, she’ll be very at home with our special mix of real-life stories, showbiz, food and of course fashion live each morning on the show.”
Lisa quit her stint on Capital FM’s breakfast show, which she presented with Dave Berry, late last year.
For almost eight years she had been leaving bed at 4.30am for her DJ stint at the station in London’s Leicester Square.
After her last session on the airwaves she again took to Twitter to write: “Well that was tough. Thank you all. So much LOVE. xxx”
She told the Daily Mirror this month that she was looking forward to her “next big adventure”.
She added: “After seven-and-a-half years getting up at 4.30am, I hope people agree that I’ve earned a lie-in!”
The telly star has also hosted Britain’s Next Top Model.
Since shunning her early morning starts, she has thrown herself into her charity ambassador role for Breast Cancer Care.
Yesterday, the stunner uploaded a shot showing her sporting candy pink lipgloss and holding a matching balloon as she shot scenes for its latest campaign.
Alongside the image she wrote: “Proud to say I have been an ambassador for the past 11 years,” followed by three Emoji love hearts.
