The next court date has been set for September.

In a statement, Coleen’s representative told The Sun: “Naturally Coleen and her legal team are pleased with the judge’s rulings and her award of costs.”

The WAGS have been warring for over 18 months, after Coleen accused Becky of leaking stories about her life.

In recent weeks their court fight has intensified, with Becky last week winning her battle to remove a “list of issues” from Coleen’s defence.

Speaking after the ruling today, a representative for Becky said she was confident she would succeed at trial.

“The Judge has struck out about 10 pages of material from Mrs Rooney’s defence as irrelevant or a waste of court time.

“This is now Mrs Rooney’s third attempt at a putting forward a defence to Mrs Vardy’s libel claim. She has been ordered to cover the costs of this exercise and Mrs Vardy’s costs of amending her Reply.

“The Judge made three costs orders – two in favour of Mrs Vardy and one in favour of Mrs Rooney for £10,500.

“Although the Judge did not allow the Summary judgement application, she said in her judgement that there was “some force” in Mrs Vardy’s case that there are very significant differences between the TV Decisions Articles and the post on which it is supposed to be based. This goes to the heart of the case.

“Mrs Vardy is not the Secret Wag. The Judge has made clear that the identity of the Secret Wag does not go to the core issues and has reserved the ability to cut out or limit this issue in the future.

“Mrs Vardy is completely confident that she will succeed at trial.”

Coleen, who is married to ex England pro Wayne Rooney, turned detective in October 2019 and accused Rebekah of sharing stories from her personal Instagram account.

In the infamous post, Coleen said she posted a string of false stories via her Instagram account with restricted access to see if they appeared in the media, which they did.

She then said the fake stories had only been viewed by one person, and ended dramatically: “It’s . . . Rebekah Vardy’s account.”

Rebekah, who was heavily pregnant at the time with her husband, Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy, denied the allegations and claimed several people had access to her account.

The pair have previously held failed mediation sessions over Zoom during the pandemic.

Legal costs for both parties have risen well into six figures.

Coleen previously called the money being spent on legal fees was “grotesque” given the current climate.
