Lydia Bright admits it’s ‘overwhelming’ being a single mum
FORMER TOWIE star Lydia Bright got candid about "juggling" being a single and working mum during an Instagram Q&A.
Lydia, 30, opened up about her daughter Loretta being her "greatest achievement," but also about the struggles being a single mum.
Her daughter is now 16 months old, with the father being Lydia's former boyfriend Lee Cronin.
A fan asked how she found the experience of parenting alone and Lydia replied: "It's a big responsibility and at times overwhelming.
"Juggling being a full-time mum and working full time. But I am so proud of myself. Raising Loretta is my greatest ever achievement.
"I look at my little girl, and she makes my heart burst.
"Most importantly, she is happy"
"She is funny, confident, smart, but most importantly, she is happy."
The reality star posted a picture of her and the little one on the beach along with the statement.
Lydia has been very candid since starting her motherhood journey and recently revealed her struggle with loneliness.
She said: "The newborn stage is beautiful but also very tough.
"I was home alone, during a pandemic with a screaming baby that wouldn't settle.
"I was exhausted, lonely and thinking how on earth am I going to do this by myself?"
Meanwhile, James 'Arg' Argent has revealed that he and his ex Lydia Bright are "extremely close" again in an exclusive interview with The Sun.
The 33-year-old star spoke highly of his childhood sweetheart, admitting that they've so far kept their improved relationship "behind closed doors".
The pair first started dating when they were teens, and shot to fame together when their rocky eight-year romance was documented on ITVBe series The Only Way Is Essex.
They ultimately went their separate ways five years ago, with Arg going on to have a similarly turbulent romance with fellow Towie co-star Gemma Collins.
