Loose Women’s Lisa Maxwell set to cause trouble after landing role as gangster’s wife in Hollyoaks
Former actress from The Bill set to become the Renee Graziano of Chester
DENISE WELCH, JAMELIA and SHERRIE HEWSON have all swapped the Loose Women panel for soapland at some point during their careers.
And now LISA MAXWELL is set to follow in their footsteps as I can reveal she has landed a role on Hollyoaks to play a gangster’s wife.
The Bill actress, who was a panellist on the ITV daytime chat show for five years, has been cast to play Tracey, the ex-wife of notorious Chester gangster Fraser Black.
The troublesome character is set to rock the village as she arrives in Cheshire this summer and immediately clashes with her equally crafty daughter Grace, played by TAMARA WALL.
But it’s not just Grace who will be impacted by Lisa’s character’s arrival.
Grace’s half-brothers, Liam, Adam and Jesse Donovan, played by MAXIM BALDRY, JIMMY ESSEX and LUKE JERDY, are all set to feel the repercussions of Tracey’s entrance – as she unveils a huge secret about their family.
And while Lisa always looked pristine on Loose Women – the telly favourite will be going for a drastically different look on the Channel 4 soap.
Bosses have forced Lisa to have a major make-under for the role as they want the new soap villain to look like a “train wreck”.
Talking in an exclusive interview Lisa, who also had a brief stint on EastEnders, said: “Let’s just say her make-up call is a lot shorter than Grace’s!
“Tracey is a great character to play and it has been great terrific fun having a make-under to play her.
“Seeing how her return impacts on Grace will be interesting as there’s not a lot of love lost between them. Especially as she arrives with a big juicy Donovans secret.
“Tracey has had a hard life and might at first seem like a bit of a train wreck and burden to her daughter when she arrives in the village but there is much more to her than meets the eye — as you would expect of Fraser Black’s ex-wife.”
I can’t wait to see her in action.
