Sam Bailey reveals the cute way she is supporting Sharon Osbourne through Ozzy sex addiction shocker

X FACTOR winner Sam Bailey sends Sharon Osbourne pictures of her goddaughter Miley whenever she is having a tough time.

The 39-year-old singer grew close to the star when she was her mentor on the tenth series of the ITV singing competition in 2013.

Sam made Sharon godmother to her daughter Miley when she was born the following September, and during a chat with Lisa Snowdon on Monday’s Lorraine, Sam revealed how she sends the 63-year-old pictures of the adorable tot whenever she is having a hard time in the press.

She said: “Sharon has met her a few times, every time she gets some bad press I send her a picture of Miley smiling.”

Sharon certainly needs the support at the moment, after it was revealed last week that her husband, Black Sabbath frontman Ozzy Osbourne had entered treatment for sex addiction following his alleged four-year affair with hair stylist Michelle Pugh.

Speaking on The Talk soon after the 67-year-old released a statement about his problems, Sharon admitted she had been aware of his issues for six years, and found it a struggle to talk about so publicly.

She said: “He’s been going [to] outpatient for sex addiction for the last three months and after the tour he goes into inpatient for three months.

“He’s working at it. It’s hard because it affects the whole family and it’s quite embarrassing.

“I’m proud that he’s come out and admitted it, finally.”

Meanwhile Sam added she tries not to bother her former mentor too much as she continues to pursue her music career as she doesn’t want to come across as a crazed fan.

She said: “I didn’t want to ring her too much after the show, don’t want her to thing I’m a stalking fan.

“I have the utmost respect for her. She sends me regards and text messages and the odd present.

“She sent me some Alexander McQueen roses, I didn’t even know he did roses but they were stunning.”

Sam, who was dropped by Simon Cowell’s Syco record label in February last year, is gearing up for the release of her self-funded second album, Sing My Heart Out, and the first single off the record of the same name.

She said of Simon: “I’ve said that all along, there’s been no hard feelings, he’s a really nice man, he promised me a year and that’s what I got.

“I’ve come up with a fantastic album with a complete mix of songs.

“It’s cost a few thousand pounds, I don’t want a burden on anyone else, the fact I’ve done it all myself, I’ve worked, I’ve grafted for it. “
