'IT WAS SO STRESSFUL'

Coronation Street’s Georgia May Foote admits she had ‘no life’ and ‘doesn’t envy’ next set of celebs on Strictly Come Dancing

She added that it was 'very hard work'

CORONATION Street's Georgia May Foote has admitted that taking part in Strictly Come Dancing meant that she had "no life" and "doesn't envy" the next celebs up for the challenge.

Speaking to Now magazine, she said: "I'd love to be back there now, even though it was so stressful and I had no other life apart from dancing.

"So of course I'll be jealous when I see people learning to dance in their amazing costumes. But at the same time, I don't envy them. It's such hard work."

She added that finishing the show meant that she was able to catch up with friends: "I didn't reply to people for months when I was on the show - you're just so busy. I've got my life back now and that's amazing."

The actress was a finalist in the competition alongside EastEnders' Kelly Bright, with former The Wanted singer Jay McGuinness coming out on top.

Talking about her intense fitness regime on the show, Georgia said that she was "definitely a bit too thin" at the time.

She revealed: "I was under a lot of stress at the time. It wasn't about being thin, though. It was about being tight. I would hold my leg up and it would be solid muscle - really toned."

But Georgia said that she doesn't miss being ripped: "There's no such thing as the perfect body. I don't really miss that body because right now I'm just happy with my life. I'm not worried about what I look like."

Len Goodman announced last month that he would be quitting the show after 12 years. Georgia reckons that "maybe it's time for a lady" to be brought in to replace him.

The actress is still dating her Italian hunk dance partner on Strictly, Giovanni Pernice, who will be returning to the show in the Autumn. She said that anyone who gets him as a partner is a "lucky lady".

Georgia added that while she'd "never say never" to returning to Corrie, she wouldn't go back "right now".

She will be starring in a TV show that'll be out by the end of the year but "can't say what it is just yet": "It's really nice doing lots of different stuff".

Strictly has changed the former Corrie star's life: "It's definitely got a bit more sparkly and glitzy. Strictly has pushed me into a group of people."
