Inside Lisa Armstrong’s £280 a night luxury ‘staycation’ as ex Ant McPartlin marries in Hampshire
LISA Armstrong was living it up in a stunning £280-a-night five star hotel while ex-husband Ant tied the knot.
The makeup artist had a memorable weekend in luxury Palé Hall - a country house on the edge of Snowdonia.
The privately owned estate has a rich history, and counts Queen Victoria and Sir Winston Churchill among its high-profile guests.
It boasts three restaurants, each of which offers a delicious fine-dining experience, and stunning grounds for guests to enjoy.
Lisa, 44, and boyfriend James Green, 38, stayed in the Victoria room, named after the 10 days the famous monarch resided at the house.
The half tester bed is said to be the one slept in by Victoria herself in 1889, while the bath and basin were also there during her stay.
Lisa shared a picture on Instagram and wrote: "Well, if it was good enough for Queen Victoria it's a yes from me!!!"
Even the mixed weather didn't damped Lisa's mood, instead she made a joke of the rainy weather that caught her off-guard while outside on a lounger.
MIXED EMOTIONS
Over the weekend Lisa liked message wishing her "lots of love" on the day ex Ant married Anne-Marie Corbett.
The Britain's Got Talent host and his PA - who planned Lisa and Ant's 10th anniversary celebrations in Portugal - said I Do in an "emotional" ceremony in Heckfield, Hampshire.
The telly star, 45, complimented his “beautiful” wife at their celeb-packed nuptials at St Michael’s Church.
Earlier in the day, Lisa appeared to take a swipe at the extravagant nuptials - which came 15 months after their divorce.
Lisa liked a tweet from a fan that read "Terrible weather in Hampshire today."
At the time, Ant was getting hitched in front of 100 guests.
Ant and Lisa were childhood sweethearts but split in January 2018.
Later that summer he revealed he'd found love with PA Anne-Marie, who was close pals with Lisa.
The former couple's £31M divorce was finalised in April 2020 after a long legal battle - including custody of their beloved dog Hurley.
