Katie Price’s son Harvey accepted to £350,000 a year residential college – and will move out of her home in just 2 weeks
KATIE Price's son Harvey has been accepted into a £350,000-a-year residential college - and will move out of her home in just two weeks.
It is the same college the pair were shown falling in love with during a visit on her BBC documentary Harvey & Me.
The 43-year-old star previously admitted that she'd struggle with him being three hours away, but the college will give him the opportunity to live more independently and gain more skills.
A source told The Sun: "Harvey has been accepted into the National Star College.
"She had her heart set on the college since they visited in her BBC documentary Harvey & Me."
We have contacted a rep of Katie's for further comment.
The hefty fees are eligible for government funding due to 19-year-old Harvey's complex needs, but it is not known if Katie's application for financial help has been approved.
Katie spent six months visiting colleges for teens with autism and learning difficulties to ensure that she does the right thing for her son.
She previously told us: "It's so upsetting to think I won't see him every day but this is the best thing for Harvey and we have to think positively because I don't want him to think I'm just getting rid of him."
Admitting it will be "hard to let go", the mum-of-five added: "I need to learn to let go but it's tough - anyone in my position knows how hard it is. We have an incredible bond. I don't know how Harvey will react or how he'll feel when I can't get to him. It's too painful to think about.
“Harvey, the son of media personality Kate Price, will be a residential student at National Star’s campus at Ullenwood, near Cheltenham.
“National Star, a UK charity, provides medical care, therapies and education to support young people with complex disabilities prepare for adulthood.
“Harvey, aged 19, was born with Septo Optic Dysplasia, a rare disorder that affects brain function. He will be one of 168 students, aged 18 to 25, at the Ullenwood campus.
“Kate and Harvey first visited National Star as part of the BBC One documentary Katie Price: Harvey and Me.”
In addition to Harvey, Katie is mum to 16-year-old Junior, 14-year-old Princess, eight-year-old Jett, and seven-year-old Bunny.
Harvey was born with ADHD, autism, genetic condition Prader-Willi Syndrome, and septo-optic dysplasia, which causes blindness.
