Aaron Sidwell, who plays Steven Beale, hints that he could be making a Walford return
EASTENDERS fans will be pleased to hear that Peter Beale could be making a comeback to the soap.
Aaron Sidwell, who plays Peter's half-brother Steven in the hit BBC soap, has hinted that actor Ben Hardy could return.
Steven is currently in relationship with Peter’s ex- girlfriend Lauren, so it could make for an explosive Albert Square storyline.
Aaron believes that Ben, who quit the soap last year, could return if the timing was right.
He said he would love to see Peter fight for his former love Lauren, he told Inside Soap: "I would like to see Ben Hardy reprise his role of Peter and to see a showdown between him and Steven for Lauren.

"I think Ben is passionate about the show, and that he would probably be interested in coming back if the timing and story were right.
"Peter is always going to be a fixture in the story, considering that he and Lauren have a child together that Steven is raising."
The actor also teased that his character could have a darker side: "Steven returned to Walford to help the Beales, but also because he is running from something.”
"We're always going to wonder whether he is the good son or bad son - and that brings Peter into play.
“Who should Lauren be with? Who should be home with Ian? It's an interesting question."
Since leaving the soap Ben has made the swap from small to big screen and made his film debut in X-Men: Apocalypse.
