Kanye West buys £1m Damien Hirst piece once owned by George Michael as fans predict it’s Donda album cover
IT’S funny how a celebrity can be linked to another – and this latest one is as unlikely as they come.
Kanye West has bought a £1million Damien Hirst sculpture previously owned by George Michael.
The late Faith singer purchased The Incomplete Truth in 2007, and after his death in 2016 it was sold by auctioneers Christie’s.
Yesterday Kanye posted the sculpture of a white dove on a turquoise background on Instagram.
It’s only his third snap on the social media platform, with the other pictures all relating to his upcoming Donda album.
Fans are now predicting it could be the cover art for the record, which was due out weeks ago and has been premiered a number of times in different formats.
Next Thursday, he will hold another album listening party back in his home city of Chicago.
The last version of the album heard by fans had been updated to feature The Weeknd. At the rate Kanye is going, it will never be finished.
