Hugh Jackman sparks concerns among fans over his aged appearance in Instagram snap
The actor looked frail and much older than his 47 years
HUGH Jackman sent his fans into a concerned frenzy last night after he posted a snap of himself looked old and frail.
The actor took to his Instagram to share the snap of him posing by some fish in what looks like a log cabin.
With his thumb aloft, he wrote, “Now that’s what I’m talking about,” possibly referring to the fish supper he may have been about to eat.
He certainly looked a lot different from the fresh-faced handsome star from earlier in the year as he promoted his movie Eddie The Eagle.
But fans quickly left comments for the star sharing their concern over his slimmer and more aged appearance.
One wrote, “What happened to you Hugh? You are looking much older than your age...please take care...not looking healthy at all...pls,” while another added: “Are you feeling well? Prays and positive thoughts your way just in case. Cheers.”
However, die-hard fans of Wolverine, the mutant Marvel character Jackman has brought to life through the X-Men franchise, knew instantly that he was probably just still in make-up.
One fan wrote: “He is playing old man Logan so he is likely wearing extra makeup to look older since he is playing an older Wolverine.”
And another added: “Don't worry. That's just a "Makeup" for Wolverine 3 movie.”
Jackman has reprised the role for the eighth and final time for the third Wolverine film, which will be based on the ‘Old Man Logan’ comic books.
The movie will follow the hero living out his final days after surviving the extinction of the X-Men and will also see Patrick Stewart reprising his role as Professor X.
Producer Simon Kinberg has revealed that it will be an 18-rated film with a "violent" and "western tone".
He added: "It's a very radical, bold, different Wolverine than you've ever seen in any of these movies.
"It takes place in the future, and as you and others have reported, it is an R-rated movie. It's violent; it's kind of like a western in its tone. It's just a very cool, different film.”
