Blake Shelton slammed over his ‘racist’ and ‘homophobic’ tweets and fantasy about teenage actress Dakota Fanning
The country singer has since deleted the bizarre tweets he posted five years ago
COUNTRY singer Blake Shelton has been slammed by fans over “racist” and “homophobic” tweets he posted five years ago.
The 40-year-old, who is dating Gwen Stefani, was also berated for revealing he’d had a “sick fantasy” about actress Dakota Fanning, who 16 at the time.
In the tweet, which he posted in November 2010, he wrote: “Sooo… I just figured out a great excuse for my sick fantasy about Dakota Fanning. I thought she was Amanda Seyfried…”
In another, posted four months later, he wrote: “Wish the d***head in the next room would either shut up or learn some English so I would at least know what he’s planning to bomb!!”
The tweets – which have since been deleted from Blake’s account - were unearthed by Twitter user The Music Tea.
In another set of tweets posted, Blake was accused of being homophobic for posts such as, “I’m not gay but I think Ellen is hot! Wait a minute… what?!”
And in another he wrote, “Question for my gay followers… Are skittles y’all’s favourite candy?” and “If you haven’t noticed Richard Simmons is gay, you haven’t noticed Katy Perry’s boobs…”
And fellow Twitter users were quick to respond as one wrote: “He’s a redneck pig if I may say so,” while another added: “I used to be a fan of him but now he is cancelled & over. .”

And another agreed and said: “Absolutely zero people should be surprised that Blake Shelton, a country singer from Oklahoma, is racist and possible homophobic.
The Sun Online Showbiz has contacted Blake’s publicist for comment.
Blake has been dating Gwen Stefani since last November, four months after he and fellow country singer Miranda Lambert announced their divorce after four years of marriage.
