James Corden reveals he was ‘KIDNAPPED’ by fans of his Carpool Karaoke TV segment
The funnyman was bundled into a vehicle by enthused London teenagers
JAMES Corden feared he was being "KIDNAPPED" after crazed Carpool Karaoke fans bundled him into their vehicle for some singing banter.
The bubbly presenter - famed for his celeb-studded TV segment on The Late Late show in the US - got the fright of his life when he returned back to London and was forced into a car.
The group's boisterous antics came as they attempted to re-create their own version of the motoring sing-song where the Gavin and Stacey actor and his showbiz guest blast out some tunes as they head out for a drive.
The comedian told The Wrap: "I was crossing the street in London a few weeks ago and there were these four kids. They were like 18, 19.
"They sort of forced me to get in the car. They all had their camera phones out and we were just singing along to the radio.
"I was like, 'Am I being kidnapped?'"
The dad-of-one has previously admitted the success of Carpool Karaoke had been pure "madness."
He has recruited famous faces such as Adele, One Direction and most recently Michelle Obama into the passenger seat.
Barack Obama's bubbly wife jumped into the front seat of the car offering to take the star on a tour of the White House as she "had a little time on her hands."
"Wanna go for a spin," she quizzed, as James sat bemused behind the wheel.
After pointing out the Rose Garden and Oval office she flicked on the radio - and that's where the beat-pumping fun began.
The duo launched in to Stevie Wonder's hit Signed Sealed Delivered I'm Yours with gusto, belting out the lyrics word-perfect and boogying safely with their seat belts on.
The pair then joined forced to chant Beyonce's catchy lyrics to Single Ladies, which state: "If you like it then you should have put a ring on it," and stared each other in the eye as they played the role of feisty independent women directing their words to men.
The antics - which also saw Missy Elliott make an appearance - led to the TV funnyman taking to Twitter to thank his fans for setting #FLOTUSCarpool trending on Twitter.
Apple has even bought rights to stream 16 extended episodes - while US network TBS are creating a spin-off show based on his James' celebrity rap battle segment.
James, 37, recently revealed pop babe Britney Spears would be joining him in his vehicle.
Brit confirmed the news by adding on social media: “Took a ride around LA with @JKCorden & did a little #CarpoolKaraoke Watch the @latelateshow on 8/25 to see it!”
The Piece of Me hitmaker is believed to have been keen to take part in the skit to promote her eagerly-anticipated ninth studio LP Glory, which is released the day after James' show airs,on August 26.
