Ex Hollyoaks hunk Danny Mac confirmed as new Strictly Come Dancing contestant
He previously played Dodger Savage on the Channel 4 soap
FORMER soap star Danny Mac has been confirmed as the latest contestant to join this year’s Strictly Come Dancing.
The Sun Online can exclusively reveal that the 28-year-old - who originally shot to fame playing village heartthrob Dodger Savage in Channel 4’s Hollyoaks - will be going head-to-head in this year's celeb line-up for a chance at the coveted Glitterball Trophy.
His role in Hollyoaks saw him named FIVE times at awards as the sexiest male in soap so he's sure to add some phwoah to the dancefloor.
Multi-talented, Danny also starred in the west end musical Wicked for four years and recently appeared in a regional production of Legally Blonde.
He even once demonstrated his vocal abilities alongside former Hollyoaks castmate Stephanie Davis when they performed a rendition of CeeLo Green’s Forget You on the BBC’s Children In Need.
Speaking about his signing, Danny – who is engaged to actress Carly Stenson – said: “I’m as terrified as I am excited! I’ve done a few bits and bobs of secret filming for the show and it’s all become very real now.
