Celebrity Big Brother’s Sam Fox receives medical attention after suffering distressing panic attack
CELEBRITY Big Brother bosses have been forced to intervene after Sam Fox had a panic attack.
In scenes reportedly deemed too distressing to air, the 80s pop star got so upset she had to be assessed by medics.
A CBB insider told the : "Sam was not well at all. She was called to the diary room because they were concerned about her health.
"She had a full-blown panic attack. It got pretty serious and they were genuinely concerned.
"Medics were sent in to make sure she was OK and not at serious risk.
"They even had to give her medication to help her calm down."
The situation comes as Heavy D spoke about how much Sam was struggling in the house during his exit interview on Tuesday after becoming the fourth housemate to be evicted.
He said: "Sam is on the brink.
"She moans a lot. It’s hard to tell if she really means it or she just likes a moan.
"She is finding it difficult, she misses her mum too."
While viewers didn't get to see Sam's anxiety attack, they did get to see the star become emotional when her mother entered the house as part of this week's task.
The housemates' levels of concentration and willpower were put to the test in the first instalment on Wednesday, with Samantha, Bear and Renee balancing three doughnuts on their heads, while having to deal with a number of distractions, such as an angry drill sergeant.
However the 50-year-old got a big surprise when her mum entered the house as a surprise guest - causing the former glamour model to burst into tears.
