POLICE ANALYSING WHITE SUBSTANCE IN CAR

Towie’s Michael Hassini was ‘in possession of cocaine’ while drink driving and could face jail sentence

The reality star will appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court on 12 September

IT was shocking enough when I revealed Towie bosses had suspended Essex womaniser MICHAEL HASSINI for facing a drink driving charge.

But things have gone from bad to worse for the show newcomer.

I can reveal that not only was he allegedly drink driving, but he it's claimed crashed his car into another and was found to be in possession of cocaine at the time.

I am told that the youngster, who has only been on the show since last year, faces allegations he crashed his Mercedes into a car at a traffic light in the early hours of Monday morning.

Police were called after the car he hit was then forced into the back of a bus on Oxford Street in London around 3.30am.

He was arrested and taken to a cell for an overnight stay.

A police spokesman said: "Michael Hassini, was charged on Monday, 15 August, with driving or being in charge of a motor vehicle with alcohol concentration above the prescribed limit.

"He was further charged with possession of cocaine. He was bailed to appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court on 12 September."

I told how yesterday how Towie bosses quickly suspended him after the allegations were flagged to them.

But things could get worse than a show ticking off for Mike as if it's proven possession of a Class A drug can carry a seven year prison sentence, an unlimited fine, or both.

The female driver Mike allegedly hit said she had four passenger and a number of them hurt their faces when they were hit.

The driver, who does not want to be named, said: "Me and my friends left the club at about 3.30am on Monday morning.

"We were just still at traffic lights and we felt a hit then we hit the bus. We got out and his car was badly damaged at the front.

"He wasn't really talking. He was really calm. He had a blank look on his face.

"We were trying to take pictures of his number plate.

"I had already called the police so they got him and took him to the station.

"I saw him there because I went to the police station for a breath test, but I was fine.

"I heard the police saying they needed to analyse a white substance they found in his car."

Mike now faces a period on the Towie sidelines until he learns his fate next month.
