Are Little Mix splitting up?
LITTLE Mix are global megastars after they launched to fame on The X Factor back in 2011.
However, since Jesy Nelson left the band in December 2020 fans have feared they will break up - and now it looks like those split rumours have come true.
Are Little Mix splitting up?
Little Mix have announced they're taking a break in 2022 to focus on solo projects.
Jade Thirlwall, 28, Perrie Edwards, 28, and Leigh-Anne Pinnock, will go their separate ways after their Confetti tour ends in May 2022, but they insist they will be back in the future.
In a statement on Instagram, they said: "We wanted to let you all know that after the Confetti tour in April/May next year we are going to be taking a break from Little Mix.
"It’s been 10 amazing years, a wonderful non-stop adventure, and we feel the time is right to take a break so we can recharge and work on some other projects.
"We can’t thank you enough for your love and never-ending support since the beginning. We love you all SO much.
"We are not splitting up - Little Mix are here to stay. We have plans for more music, tours and performances in the future.

"We’ve made so many incredible memories with you all, and we can’t wait to make so many more.
"We’re sisters and we’ll always have each other and you, the fans, in our lives. Little Mix is forever. See you on tour! Jade, Leigh-Anne and Perrie x."
Who left the band first?
Jesy Nelson left in December 2020 amid a row which has left the girls communicating only via lawyers.
Since then, Leigh-Anne has accused her of “blackfishing” — adopting fashion, language and musical styles from black cultures despite exclusively white heritage.
Jesy’s latest collaborator Nicki Minaj also laid into Leigh-Anne online, accusing her of being a “bully”.
Will the stars launch solo careers?
In their statement, the group mentioned working on "other projects", hinking at going solo.
The Sun also previously revealed how all three Little Mix stars have a desire to pursue solo careers.
A source said: “They’ve been pretty open with each other about it. There are a lot of meetings happening at the moment.
"Some of them have already done management deals.
"Leigh-Anne has signed up with Dua Lipa’s manager, Jade is cutting her teeth as a songwriter and presenter, while Perrie is working on other things too.
“They still get on great, despite everything that has happened with Jesy. But her departure put the cat among the pigeons.
"They all know there will have to be a career beyond Little Mix, so they’ve put things in place. The plan is to see out commitments, then turn to solo projects almost immediately.
“The intention is to keep the band going too — but that’s how One Direction ended and it’s hard to believe they will have time for everything.”
