Danny Dyer’s daughter recounts horror of watching her dad attacked by Mark Wright’s mates in festival fight
The 20-year-old admits she called Wright a 'c***' as her drunk dad got dragged into a punch-up
DANNY Dyer's daughter has posted an emotional statement online defending her "sensitive, loving" dad after his V Festival bust-up with Mark Wright's mates.
The actor was embroiled in an explosive fight with the Towie star's friends over the weekend, and Dani Dyer, 20, has now stepped up to protect her father, insisting her would "never hurt a fly".
The pretty blonde was at the festival in Essex with Danny when the incident took place, and she was left sobbing as she saw her beloved dad dragged into a punch-up with a group of Mark's pals.
Danny was at the music event celebrating his stag do when the party took a dark turn and he was set upon by five guys in Mark's circle.
The explosive bust-up left the EastEnders star with a black eye, and his daughter has now spoken out about the devastating clash.
It was previously revealed that Mark called Danny a "c***" over the fight, but Dani has now admitted it was actually her who used the expletive during the violence.
She wrote in a post on Twitter: "My dad is the strongest person I know he isn't a fighter just because he plays good acting rolls [sic] as a hard man does not mean he is that in real life...
"I admit that I was shouting that Mark Wright is a c***."
The insider told us: “Mark wasn’t there when the violence really kicked off.
“He then saw Danny later and went over to him and said no need for any of that with my mates and shook Danny’s hand.”
Mark's wife Michelle Keegan was not at the festival, and has yet to comment on the scuffle.
The spat - which is not Danny's first A-list row - started after Danny made a nasty comment about Mark’s radio station and recent ad campaign for yoghurt.
He tweeted: “My worst nightmare would be listening to Heart FM while eating an Oykos yoghurt. It would be like p***ing razorblades.”
Josh Wright, Mark’s pro-footballer brother, then made the allegation about the football match spat, writing to Danny: “Malcom you must still be hurting from when Mark gave you a slap in the changing room that day,” then added: “Get over it you melt”.
Danny and Jo had been celebrating their joint stag and hen do at the festival as they prepare to finally tie the knot after decades together.
The EastEnders star appeared to be in high spirits prior to the incident, and had been roaming around the event wearing a white mask.
