Killer Clayton arrives in court to be charged with the murder of Kylie Platt on Coronation Street
Will the gutless brute finally get his just desserts after evading police for the past few weeks?
LOOKS like the law is finally catching up with killer Clayton as new photos see him appearing in court to be charged with Kylie Platt's murder on Coronation Street.
Viewers were left devastated when mum-of-two Kylie, played by Paula Lane, ran in to the kebab shop to defend Gemma Winter from the thug, played by Callum Harrison, only to be stabbed in the heart.
Kylie was then left to bleed out on the street in the arms of husband David, who has since struggled to maintain his grip on his sanity as he tries to avenge the death of his beloved wife.
Photos from yesterday appeared to show David, played by long-running regular Jack P Shepherd, getting closer to finding the killer after letting him slip through his grasp shortly after the senseless killing.
However, in scenes which are set to air in upcoming weeks, as David approaches the Dog and Gun pub, where evil Callum Logan also used to drink, he is dragged into the car park and beaten to within an inch of his life by an unnamed brute.
LATEST FROM TV & SHOWBIZ
Cath Tyldesley, who plays Eva Price, was among the cast members at the court house to shoot the scenes in which we discover whether justice will truly be served for Clayton.
Craig Tinker, played by Colson Smith, witnessed the attack and was also spotted in a suit - is he going to do the right thing and tell the jury the truth? Or will he lie in fear for his life?
Someone who looks like they've been in the wars is Clayton's partner in crime Macca - who sported a particularly nasty looking bandage on his head as he stood next to his mate.
Macca has been throwing his weight around since the murder and has threatened Gemma to keep her mouth shut. Will she comply?
The truth will be revealed in a month's time when the scenes are aired.
Catch all the drama on Coronation Street, weeknights on ITV1.
