Tom Cruise returns as fugitive Jack Reacher in the long-awaited sequel Never Go Back
THE countdown for this action-packed blockbuster has well and truly begun
IF you were a fan of the Lee Child's best-selling crime/thriller novels, get set for some serious action in the sequel to the original Jack Reacher movie.
Tom Cruise is back as Reacher - the tough guy who men want to be, and women adore.
Four years on, in an ordinary town in Virginia, cop Reacher returns to his base where he faces a homicide charge.
Our favourite vigilante is not shy of throwing a punch or two to get out of strife, but when he discovers he is a wanted man, and his old boss, Commander of the military police: Major Susan Turner (Cobie Smulders) is charged with espionage, you know that action-adventure is going to be turned up to full-throttle.
Flexing more muscles than ever before, Reacher steps in to stick up for the good gal, however, the more he delves into the case, the less clear-cut it appears and the plot is full of twists and turns.
The roller coaster doesn't end there as Reacher also faces allegations that he has a daughter - not what the Ladies Man would have ever expected!
You might recognise Smulders from the Avengers movies, but given the opportunity to hold her own against pocket rocket Cruise, this is a break that could open up a world of action-movie opportunities.
Expect gun-shots, fist-fights, car-chases and fireworks - Tom Cruise at his Action Man best.
Jack Reacher: Never Go Back hits UK cinemas on 21 October 2016.
