Lucy Mecklenburgh dropped huge hint she was pregnant days before announcing surprise news

LUCY Mecklenburgh appeared to let slip her baby news just three days before she announced her second pregnancy.

The former Towie star is expecting her second child with fiancé Ryan Thomas but seemed to spill the beans before her official announcement.

Lucy, 30, confirmed her news to excited fans on Instagram on Monday, declaring: "Here we go again ��❤️👶 @ryanthomas84."

But on Saturday, the fitness fan posted a throwback snap of herself lifting son Roman into the air while picking out their family Christmas tree.

Lucy captioned the shot: "I’m not sure I’ll be able to lift him quite so easily this year 🤣. What a difference a year makes 😍 #christmascountdown #oneyearon #motherhood."

In March 2020, Lucy became a mum to Roman, now 19 months, with her fiancé Ryan, 37.

The star has been inundated with messages of congratulations since announcing her latest pregnancy.

Ryan's former Coronation Street co-star Catherine Tyldesley - who is also pregnant again - replied to the post: "Yeyyyyyyyyyy 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍 Huge congratulations my loves! ❤️❤️."

Former Corrie star Helen Flanagan added: "Ahhhhhhhh congratulations darling lucy and Ryan 💗❤️xxxxxxxxxx"

Lucy's close pal and former Towie co-star Lydia Bright, meanwhile, wrote: "I can’t wait another baby Thomas ❤️."

Other than her accidental Christmas tree slip, Lucy has managed to hide her pregnancy from fans.

The star has kept her baby bump incognito by dressing in baggy clothing and avoiding photographs of her tummy.

Last week, Lucy was pictured attending the launch of Ryan's brothers' eatery, Oh My Glaze, at Manchester's Old Trafford centre.

She was clad in a long and oversized plaid shacket.

Late last month, Lucy also posted a snap of herself in her kitchen, promoting recipe delivery box Hello Fresh. She cleverly held a freshly cooked veggie moussaka in front of her stomach.

Lucy and former Corrie actor Ryan started dating in 2017, after meeting on Bear Grylls' Celebrity Island, and got engaged in Italy two years later.
