Katie Price sparks parenting row as fans criticise her decision to set up Instagram accounts for her kids
Reality star has divided followers by allowing Junior and Princess to have their own social media pages
KATIE Price has sparked a parenting debate online after fans slammed the star for setting up Instagram accounts for her kids.
The former glamour model given Junior and Princess their own social media pages, but followers have accused the star of putting the youngsters in the firing line.
Katie shared the new yesterday, revealing both Junior, 11, and daughter Princess, nine, now have open Instagram accounts.
She insisted but she has set down some ground rules keep the youngsters out of trouble.
In a post on her own page, she wrote: "My baby boy has asked me for 3 years for Instagram so I’ve allowed it but I’m keeping my eye and have passwords ????????...
"Now my beautiful Princess has driven me mad for Instagram but I said I’ll be vetting lol..."
However, the move has divided fans, with many accusing Katie of thrusting her kids into the spotlight to early.
Other also suggested the youngsters' accounts should be private to avoid getting swamped with nasty comments.
One wrote in a post on Katie's page: "No this is wrong. Does he know those 2000 + people.
"Dangerous game your playing with your kids lives... Read the stories of the dangers of Internet and social media a kids [sic].
"Wrong on every level and your courting people to follow them and view their profiles. Think hard about this."
Another fan insisted that the world of social media is too cruel for kids so young, writing: "Bad idea for so many reasons!
"It's a big bad world out there and there's plenty of app for kids social media is not a world that children should be involved in..."
One posted: "Katie u have enough money in the bank. Why are u doing this to your kids. Very sad..." another wrote: "I thought you were smarter!...
"What a massive disappointment!"

Some fans also questioned whether Katie will be able to properly vet the site to keep her kids safe.
One wrote: "How can you 'vet' when you have millions of followers and you've just plastered her user name and page all over yours for everyone to see and follow??...
"Fine if she has it but I would of kept it private for family and close friends....
"Keep them innocent while you can she has all the time in the world for social media..."
However, some rushed to Katie's defence and insisted fans should not be criticising her parenting skills.
One posted: "I envy Katie price as a mother, winds me up so much when people slate how she brings up her children, do they look unhappy or in danger, NO - TWIT..."
Another added: "Nothing wrong with it, they are celebrity children and as long as she's monitoring it I think its a great way for them to connect with the public. Welcome to instagram..."
