Lucy Mecklenburgh shares sweet video of son Roman kissing her bare baby bump after announcing pregnancy

LUCY Mecklenburgh shared a heartwarming video today as son Roman kissed her bare baby bump after announcing pregnancy.

The soon-to-be mother-of-two, who revealed she was expecting her second child earlier this month, took to her Instagram to share a sweet clip of her growing belly.

The former Towie star shared a post of one-year-old Roman gently pecking her bump.

The toddler repeatedly planted kisses on Lucy's stomach as they shared a precious moment together.

She added Christina Aguilera's track These Are The Special Times to the background and fiancé Ryan Thomas was heard saying: "Can daddy have one [kiss]?"

Little Roman then leaped up and gave his dad a huge kiss.

The touching post left fans emotional, with one writing: "Roman😢this is so incredibly special❤️."

Another posted: "Oh my heart ❤️sooo cute 😍."

A third added: "Awwwww so cute❤️❤️."

Lucy, 30, who is already mum to son Roman, one, told her fans she was pregnant with her second child with a sweet snap on earlier this month.

She's since updated fans with a close-up of her blossoming bump, filming herself in a comfortable pair of pyjamas with "enough room" for her growing baby.

"New cosy loungewear with room for bump," she captioned the video as she walked around her home before posing in the mirror.

BUMP ALONG

The star pulled back the long beige jacket to reveal her stomach, placing a hand on her hip to accentuate her pregnant figure.

Lucy then struck a pose, placing a loving hand atop of her stomach, as she encouraged her fans to buy the comfortable clothing set.

It comes days after Lucy revealed that she is pregnant with her second baby with fiancé Ryan Thomas.

Lucy became a mum to Roman, now 19 months, with her partner Ryan, 37, last year - and looks to be welcoming her second child next summer.

The couple was faced with “every parent’s worst nightmare” in September, when Lucy found Roman turning blue in his cot.

He was rushed to Basildon Hospital before being transferred to St Mary’s Hospital, London, and put on a ventilator.

Thankfully, after his viral-induced wheeze, Roman is doing well, but now uses an inhaler twice a day to help his breathing.

Lucy told The Sun last month: “It was very, very scary. And we didn’t really leave his side for a week. The doctors and the nurses were incredible,” she says. 

“He’s absolutely fine now and has us all cracking up." 

With help from their family, friends and fans, Ryan - who shares daughter Scarlett with ex Tina O'Brien - have since raised nearly £20,000 to buy high-tech equipment for St Mary’s and provide on-site accommodation for parents so they can be near their children at all times.

Lucy and former Corrie actor Ryan started dating in 2017, after meeting on Bear Grylls' Celebrity Island, and got engaged in Italy two years later.

But their nuptials are on the backburner for the moment, with Lucy joking that they struggle to make time for dates, so organising a wedding could take them a while.

“Life is different now – there’s more communication but less spontaneity,” she said.

“It’s a different dynamic, but it’s just as special, if not more so. We’ve become a really good team. But it’s hard [to make time for each other]. I still don’t think we’ve got that balance perfect, but we work on it."
