It is believed Channel 5 chiefs are scrambling for ideas to revamp the format due to falling ratings.

The latest season of CBB was full of controversy, but the saucy antics failed to attract viewers and figures fell to a disappointing average of around 1.5 million per episode.

Many viewers were left outraged by the full-frontal nudity and scandalous behaviour of housemates including Marnie Simpson and Chloe Khan.

Campaigners called for the show to be axed due to falling standards, and some viewers even compared the series to "porn".
