Big Brother winner Jason Burrill made a failed bid to buy the famous Playboy Mansion
Reality star and property developer set his sights high while trying to expand his real estate empire
BIG Brother winner Jason Burrill hoped to become the new Hugh Hefner by placing a bid on the Playboy Mansion.
The 45-year-old - who won the Channel 5 reality show earlier this summer - joined forces with 11 other British businessmen to pull together a £75 million offer for the infamous house owned by Playboy magazine publisher Hugh Hefner.
Big Brother winner Jason Burrill put a bid in for the Playboy Mansion
Jason - who is a property developer as well as a movie body double - put forward £3.2 million for his slice of the Playboy pie after he was approached by a fellow developer who claimed to have insider information that the current bid on the Californian property was going to fall through.
A source told The Sun Online: "He thought it was a wind up, [but] the guy seemed to know a lot of inside information, he was expecting the
previous sale that had been agreed to fall through and was lining this offer up if it did.
"A few days after the man had approached Jason, it was all over the news that the Playboy Mansion sale was expected to full through, that's when Jason started to take it very seriously.

"After lots of research, it turned out to be a serious opportunity and Jason agreed to put in £3.2M to secure his piece of the real estate."
The men had to agree to a number of conditions to be part of the group bid, including the fact that none of them would be allowed to move
into the mansion as Hugh, 90, had to remain in the property.
The source continued: "Any dreams of moving straight into Hugh's lifestyle was unrealistic.
"The twelve men planned on buying the estate and then just sitting on the investment, if they were to put the property on the market the same week as Hugh's eventual death, then the publicity would be huge.
"Jason was clearly excited about the opportunity, he didn't tell many people but the people he had confided in could see he was serious."
The group had all agreed which percentage of the property - famous for its fabulous parties and being featured on The Girls Next Door - they would be buying, and had an offer on the table waiting to present to the mansion's real estate broker Mauricio Umansky.
However the men were devastated to discover the original sale had in fact been finalised at the last minute.
The source continued: "Jason was clearly gutted about it all.
"I think realistically he now has his heart set on an impressive home similar to the Playboy mansion, so the twelve men haven't yet given up their dreams of buying a luxury bachelor pad."
