‘You can’t make excuses and play the victim’: Saira Khan takes aim at Zara Holland after tense Loose Women appearance

Gobby panellist slams shamed former Miss Great Britain after controversial daytime TV spot

SAIRA Khan thinks former Miss Great Britain Zara Holland needs to 'stop playing the victim'.

The 20-year-old made a tense appearance on Loose Women earlier this month where she spoke about losing her crown after having sex on ITV2 show Love Island.

On the programme, the Hull blonde met Deone Robertson, the girl drafted in to replace her after pageant organisers decrowned her for her sexual antics, for the first time.

Their face-off was branded as "cruel" by viewers, with the panel's attitude towards Zara also met with anger.

But even though Saira was holed-up in the Celebrity Big Brother house when Zara was a guest, she still has an opinion on her appearance, and the "bullying" claims that surrounded the show.

She said: "A lot of women on that panel are older and have had life experience.

"They've made their own mistakes and wanted to know if anybody had given Zara advice, or warned her something like that show might make her look bad.

"You have to be responsible for your behaviour and be prepared to be questioned about it.

"You can't make excuses and play the victim."

After the tense appearance - which saw Zara revealing that she would not return her crown despite being stripped of her title - things boiled over backstage.

Zara flew in to a rage when she saw pageant boss Kate Solomons in the green room, yelling at her that she was "a joke".

But Saira thinks that she needs to take a leaf out of fellow Loose Women star Katie Price's book.

She added: "She's lived her life in the public eye but you've never seen her regret anything."
