‘I’m like Cheryl Cole’ says X Factor’s Honey G – before sharing exclusive ‘Simon Powell’ rap with The Sun online
The X Factor hopeful opens up about ‘the woman behind the sunglasses’
LOVE her or loathe her, Honey G is the X Factor contestant that has been dominating social media conversations since she rapped her way through her audition on Saturday night, clocking up three yeses (and a massive “No” from Simon Cowell).
Today as she sat down to talk exclusively with The Sun Online, the 35-year-old revealed her hopes for collaborating with UK grime and hip hop giant Stormzy, go skiing with Mariah Carey and why she is just like Cheryl Cole.
“Obviously she’s not on the panel this year but I identify myself most with Cheryl Cole,” she told us from behind large blue sunglasses.
“She was always very honest and she always likes to keep it real.
“And she’s quite good at getting on with people, not only the judges but the contestants as well and being able to build up good relationships with the constants and boast their morale.
“And she’s also very talented as well picking good acts.”
Of course we couldn’t resist putting the North West London wannabe rap superstar’s lyrical skills to the test, so asked her on the spot to rap about Simon Cowell.
Honey G came through, apart from the fact she referred to the man she wants to be her future boss as Simon “Powell.”
“Simon Powell’s got the power, I just need a Y E S.”
