Perrie Edwards to reveal all about Zayn Malik relationship on Little Mix’s new album
The Little Mix girls aren't holding back as they open up about their heartbreaks on their upcoming record
FOR over three years they were the young power couple of British pop - the Bradford boy in ONE DIRECTION and the Geordie lass chasing him up the charts.
Things quickly turned sour when ZAYN MALIK dumped PERRIE EDWARDS last summer, then sang about cheating on her on his song She Don’t Love Me.
But after over a year of keeping schtum on her heartbreak, Perrie is gearing up to address their bitter split on LITTLE MIX’S new album.
In an exclusive interview, bandmate JESY NELSON told me all four of them have drawn inspiration from their love life in the studio - including her pal's famous split.
She said: “I think it’s always easier to write about your experiences through music because more people can relate to them anyway.
“It is a lot more mature, this album. There’s a lot of things that have been said that perhaps nobody has heard yet, if you know what I mean.”
And asked if their fans will know what, or who, they are singing about, she coyly added: “I think it’s pretty obvious. I think all the songs are very relatable to girls, and our fan base in general.”
Last week I revealed Jesy had been writing with her RIXTON fiancé JAKE ROCHE while JADE THIRLWALL had been penning tunes with her THE STRUTS boyfriend JED ELLIOTT.

But with LEIGH-ANNE PINNOCK recently separated from her long-term footballer boyfriend JORDAN KIFFIN, there will be plenty of emotion in their new music.
Jade explained: “We’re going through different things. Some of us have gone through heartbreak while others of us have found love. I think it’s a very positive album.”
The girls - who have teamed up with Cornetto for their Make A Move campaign to launch the new Choc 'n' Caramel Crunch - have been working tirelessly to get all the songs recorded and are planning to release the lead single in October.
Jesy said: “I love what the first song is about. I love that the first song is like a happy heartbreak song.
"It’s not about being down, it’s all about being like, ‘Yeah!’”
As long as Perrie has kept that attitude, she’ll have no problem finding a new man.
- Little Mix has teamed up with Cornetto as part of its ‘Make A Move’ campaign and will be treating fans to an exclusive gig this September to celebrate the new Choc ’n’ Caramel Crunch.
