The celebrities taking part are Adrian Chiles with pro dancer Jowita Przystał, Anne-Marie with Graziano Di Prima, Fred Sirieix with Dianne Buswell, Jay Blades with Luba Mushtuk, Mel Giedroyc with Neil Jones, and Moira Stuart with Aljaž Škorjanec.

Having found out which of the celebs wins the special, one fan moaned on Twitter: "What a shock (not) could of told you they'd win before they even danced. Won't be watching the Christmas special."

Another complained: "We all knew they would win as soon as they were announced!"

A third sniped: "Not at all surprising."

The Christmas special was pre-recorded on Tuesday but won't air until 75.10pm on Christmas Day.

Strictly viewers are all saying the same thing as husband and wife pros Aljaz and Janette reunite for group dance

The Strictly Christmas special started back in 2004 .

Like the winner of the main show, the champ gets a trophy.

Unlike the main show which has 15 celebrities, the festive edition of the hit BBC One show only has six stars taking part.

The line-up often includes past Strictly stars, mixed in with other celebrities.

Due to the pandemic, the Strictly Christmas special was cancelled in 2020.

Instead, viewers voted for the top 25 routines of all time.

This saw Jay McGuinness and Aliona Vilani’s Pulp Fiction-inspired Jive to You Never Can Tell from 2015 crowned winner.
