And now Mark is plotting Eat Wright and Live Wright food offerings to cash in on his fame.  Joe has a multi-million tie-in with mail order grub firm Gusto.

Radio and telly personality Mark has just been granted legal protection with the UK’s Patent and Trademark Office for both titles that will stay in place for 10 years.

He is looking to market health foods and drinks, sauces, dressings, food supplements, cereal bars and protein shakes and fitness and weight loss drinks.

The legal documents were lodged on his behalf by branding firm Catalyst Global Ltd.

The papers also give him the rights to sell clothes, digital media and sportswear and equipment under the Eat Wright and Live Wright brands.

They filed the legal papers earlier this year and they have just been passed and made law to prevent counterfeiters from knocking out bootleg gear.

An intellectual property lawyer told us: “This will give Mark the ability to take action against third parties who may be using the relevant names in the course of trade without consent.

“The mere presence of these kinds of trademarks on the register can also act as a deterrent, where a third party is considering using the name without their consent

“Secondly, it improves their ability to enter into agreements to commercialise their personal brand. By way of example, they may wish to license out the trademarks to partners and earn royalties that way.”
