From Gavin & Stacey’s Joanna Page to Stacey Solomon – new mums spoil their babies for a very special first Christmas
CHRISTMAS is an exciting time for parents – with Santa coming, presents to wrap and Elf of the Shelf to set out each night.
Perhaps no more so than for new mums and dads, who get to spoil their precious new born babies for the very first time.
This year, a number of new celebrity mums took to social media to show off how they were spoiling their children on their first Christmases.
From Gavin and Stacey’s Joanna Page to Stacey Solomon, Jamie Redknapp’s wife Frida Andersson and The Only Way Is Essex star Lauren Goodger.
Loose Women star Stacey, 32, was first to kick off the celebrations on Christmas Eve, as she shared a sweet snap of new baby daughter Rose dressed as Mrs Claus.
The star admitted her new arrival meant she was not as organised for Christmas as she normally would be, but was ‘excited’ for the ensuing chaos nonetheless.
Father Christmas himself dropped in to entertain baby girl Rose, two months, as well as her big brother Rex, two, head of the big day.
In one sweet picture Santa can be seen holding the youngster in his arms, with Stacey standing next to them with a huge smile on her face.
Elsewhere, Gavin and Stacey’s Joanna, 44, celebrated with her four kids, including her latest addition – baby girl Boe Willow Russell.
The actress had shared a few rare glimpses of her new little one in festive snaps throughout December, including one of them sat by the Christmas tree.
Cradling her daughter in front of the adorned fir, the Welsh star wrote: “Welcome to our family Boe Willow Russell. We love you with all our hearts.”
The Stacey Shipman actress revealed her surprise pregnancy in August, and welcomed her fourth child just days before Chrismtas.
Jamie Redknapp and his wife Frida were also celebrating the big day with their newborn son this year – with the former footballer showing off on Instagram.
The new parents spent the special day with son Raphael, and Jamie’s parents Harry and Sandra, as well as his eldest sons.
Charlie, 17, and 13-year-old Beau – who he shares with his ex-wife Louise -joined him at Beaverbrook Hotel & Spa for Christmas lunch.
Raphael was celebrating his first Christmas with his famous family – and looked like he was being smothered with love throughout.
Meanwhile, mum Frida looked relaxed as the baby boy’s big brothers stepped in to look after him throughout the festive celebrations.
FIRST TIME MUMS
Just weeks before Christmas, TV star Louise Thompson and her fiance Ryan Libbey also welcomed a new addition to their family.
The former Made In Chelsea star, 31, took to Instagram to announce Leo-Hunter’s name and reveal the details around his traumatic birth which left them both in the ICU.
Luckily, mum Louise and baby Leo were home in time for the big day – but their plans were scuppered when two family members tested positive for Covid.
The proud new parents are thought to have spent the big day alone with their new addition – enjoying the quality one-on-one time.
The Only Way Is Essex star Lauren Goodger also welcomed her first baby this year – giving birth to daughter Larose, who she shares with Charles Drury, in July.
The star was seen getting ready for Christmas as she stepped out with her baby girl on December 24 to visit family ahead of the big day.
She spent Christmas Day with beau Charles’ family, where she took to Instagram to show off their delicious dinner and fun party games.
Elsewhere, a number of celebrities were stuck inside on Christmas Day after testing positive for coronavirus.
