Chinese actress Liang Ke takes a tumble on Venice Film Festival red carpet
The raven-haired star needed the help of two assistants to stop her fall
ACTRESS Liang Ke looked a true gem in her emerald gown at the Venice Film Festival - until she slipped on its huge train and almost fell flat on her face.
The raven haired beauty wowed as she walked on to the red carpet in the show-stopping green ballgown with its corset top and flowing skirt which reached down to her feet, coupled with a separate tail piece attached to the back.
Yet this lengthy piece of fabric proved a problem paired with her stiletto heels as she attended the premiere of The Light Between Two Oceans.
As she walked the carpet, Liang got her swish shoes caught in the hem and tipped forward onto her knees as her mouth opened wide in panic.
Luckily, two smartly-dressed assistants were on-hand to play hero and dived towards the star as she tumbled to the floor.
They managed to grab her arms as she crouched on her knees to prevent any serious injury, thought Liang was still left red-faced.
Despite the drama, the star picked herself up and continued to strut her stuff for waiting photographers.
She sported a beaming smile as she posed in her striking clobber, paired with sophisticated pearls.
The stunning actress wore her hair pinned back and a splash of red lipstick to keep her look classic.
Perching her hand on her hip, she clutched her trendy bag in her other hand as she breathed a sigh of relief after her hair-raising moment.
