EXCITEMENT about Spider-Man: Homecoming is well and truly brewing as more and more cast members are being revealed.

Now it has been announced that Jon Favreau is set to join the already impressive line-up as he reprises his role as Happy Hogan from the Iron Man movie.

The star, who worked as an actor, director and producer on the franchise, last appeared as the character in Iron Man 3 in 2013.

Despite their contentious relationship following Marvel’s decision to pick a different director for the final film, Favreau only has good things to say about the studio.

“Marvel and I both came of age together,” he said in 2010. “The years that we shared were a pivotal experience.”

Speaking about the studios president Kevin Feige, he added, “Kevin has a firm grasp on the many franchises and how they all interweave and I am happy that I had the opportunity to establish the world that these characters can now play in.

“I look forward to seeing what others can do playing in the same world.”

While he’s worked on plenty of other groundbreaking titles since then, including The Jungle Book and Avengers: Age of Ultron, it’s good to see Favreau working with Marvel again.
