SO Solid Crew star Lisa Maffia has told how a gory hair transplant "changed my life" after years spent scraping back her locks caused havoc.
The 21 Seconds vocalist, 42, has opened up on the year-long process to pep up her hairline after her barnet thinned due to years of over-styling.
The south London-born star told how her hairline is now "lit" and she has "no regrets", sharing a host of images of the before-and-after looks to her Instagram page.
Lisa began with an image showing her pointing to the side of her scalp before honing in on the red, bloodied marks on her hairline from the procedure.
She further documented the gory-looking side to the procedure as she showed herself bandaged up before finishing off with slides showing her ruffling her lush locks.
Lisa also oozed confidence as she wore her hair long while driving around town.
In a lengthy caption explaining the procedure, she wrote: "MY HAIR TRANSPLANT JOURNEY
"One year ago I had a hair transplant and here are my amazing results!

"I done mine right here in the UK, in a great place in London. Affordable and the best in the UK!
"It’s changed my life, I ruined my hairline with my signature 90s pigtails and then hair extensions and after years of tugging my hair got thinner and thinner, just like the first image you can see here!
"The second image is the very first day it was done right after my surgery. It’s not as painful as it looks I didn’t feel a thing!
"The second image is just two days after surgery, it was already healing!
"Image five is the donor area, and image six is what was going on underneath there it’s completely bored because that’s where they actually take the follicles from!
"My damage was my hairline not the back of my head, our hair is the strongest at the back!
"There’s so many little things you have to make sure you do to make your experience perfect but there is minimal risk in this situation!"
The House Of Mafia founder then directly addressed fans as she added: "Feel free to DM if you’ve got any questions, girls my hairline is lit and I have no regrets, make sure you’re going to the right place so that it works as good as mine!

What is a hair transplant?
Celebrities including Love Island's Jack Fincham, Calum Best and Bryan McFadden have all opted for similar hair transplant treatments.
Hair transplants are a type of cosmetic surgery used to target male and female pattern baldness.
As well as this, they can be used to restore hair and to fill in scars caused by accidents or burns.
Results can permanently change your appearance, but the hairs can take over a year to grow in entirely.
Because it is considered a cosmetic procedure, hair transplants are not normally available on the NHS and patients wanting the surgery will usually have to go private.
CANCER SCARE
Last year, Lisa opened up about her cancer scare, telling fans she had been diagnosed with abnormal cells after previously saying she had cervical cancer.
On October 29, 2020 Lisa said she had been diagnosed with cervical cancer.
However, she later told fans she had actually been diagnosed as having abnormal cells - and did not have cervical cancer.
She said: "Oh my god guys now I feel so sorry for not checking I've had so many messages saying their mums are going through it.
"I just want to apologise, I think where I was emotional with my mum I just wasn't thinking.
"I don't have cervical cancer I had abnormal cells that needed to be burned away that could have turned cancerous."
Her scare came just a year after her mum's battle with the disease.
She revealed the news as she went to a Colposcopy appointment at hospital.
Lisa told fans she had never missed a smear test and urged fans to make sure they keep up with their screening appointments.
Earlier on, prior to her diagnosis, she said: "I never miss a smear.
"This is just a reminder to anyone that maybe has forgotten to get tested!
"It's not a game."
It came shortly before she was rushed to hospital and put on morphine as she battled endometriosis and fibroids.
Endometriosis is a chronic condition which occurs when tissue from the lining of the womb is found outside of the womb - in areas of the body including the ovaries, Fallopian tubes, the abdomen and the bladder.
Fibroids are non-cancerous growths that can develop in or around the uterus.
When they do cause symptoms, many women experience heavy or painful periods, tummy pain, lower back pain, a frequent need to wee and pain during sex.
NOT-SO SOLID CREW
So Solid Crew consisted of a rather large number of members, with the most notable ones being Lisa Maffia, MC Harvey and Romeo.
In October, 2001, the UK act released their first album titled They Don't Know, which performed moderately well on the UK charts, but it was their breakout single 21 Seconds that would carry the band's major success throughout the year.
The song went platinum within weeks, and it seemed like everything was looking up for the new group.
Their debut album ended up peaking at number 6.
In 2002, So Solid Crew would go on to helm their own Channel 4 documentary called This Is So Solid, which only helped to boost their popularity with the British public.
But by the time that their second album 2nd Verse hit the market on 29 September, 2003, it appeared as if everything came crashing down for them.
The record underperformed immensely, landing its highest position at number 70 on the UK album chart and failing to produce any hit singles.
