Murder, She Wrote actress Angela Lansbury ‘in talks to star in next series of Game of Thrones’

DAME Angela Lansbury is reportedly in talks to star in the next series of Game of Thrones.
The 90-year-old actress is said to be in discussions with bosses about appearing in two upcoming episodes when the show returns for it’s seventh season next year.
German news site was first to report Angela, who is most famed as an author-turned-sleuth in the long-running TV show Murder, She Wrote, as the latest addition to the ever-expanding cast.
If true, Angela will be joined by veteran actor Jim Broadbent, 67, in the fantasy drama after he was confirmed to be playing a “major role” in the show’s upcoming seventh season, with the eighth season being the show’s last.
It is unclear as of yet what role Angela would be taking on should she sign on to the role but will join a host of famous faces who have come and gone as guest roles in the show.
Lovejoy star Ian McShane made a fleeting. one-episode guest appearance in the last series as slain priest Ray, but made a bit of a faux pas when he told fans to “get a f***ing life. It’s only t*ts and dragons.”
The regular cast members of the show have been teasing the upcoming season to be the most epic yet – with Maisie Williams, who plays Arya Stark, updating fans with cryptic non-spoiler messages on her Twitter account.
In a series of posts written in late August, she wrote: “just finished reading season 7 – s*** gets REAL – i’d start preparing yourselves now – scratch that, nothing will prepare you for this – holy BALLS.”
