Daisy found out her grandfather – Eddie Davis, her mother Pearl’s father – had passed away while she was inside the rehearsal studio.

She was with her fellow contestants at the time and added: “It was pretty tough and thank God I had Lou [Louise Redknapp]. She made it all better.”

She said she had only spoken to him the night before as they chatted about her being on the show, and she revealed he was “so excited” about her appearing on one of his favourite programmes.

Daisy also took to her Instagram page and shared a photo of him and wrote: "Today I lost the most important man in my life... My gramps.

“He was such a treasure, my greatest teacher. I miss you so much already grampy - thank you for being everything .”

Daisy put on a brave face as she arrived for the launch night of Strictly during which she was paired with professional dancer Aljaž Skorjanec.

She raised eyebrows with her daring red dress as she went braless in the see-through frock which had sheer panels up the side which exposed her legs.

And she shocked even further when she seemed to suggest a threesome with Alijaz and his wife Janette Manrara – who is also one of the show’s professional dancers.

According to the Daily Star Daisy winked at Aljaz and commented: “He’d be quite fun.”

As the dancer’s wife entered the room, Daisy then added: “She’d be really fun too.”

The couple reportedly replied: “We can all have a go!”
