Susanna Reid shocks Piers Morgan on Good Morning Britain with sudden baby outburst
Presenter was discussing Bridget Jones's Baby when she made the surprising comment
SUSANNA Reid has stunned Good Morning Britain co-host Piers Morgan with a sudden announcement she's not pregnant.
The 45-year-old was introducing an upcoming segment with movie star Renee Zellweger on Monday's show to promote her new movie, Bridget Jones's Baby, when she made the comment.
She said: "Renee Zellweger tells us why Good Morning Britain was the inspiration behind the film.
"I'd just like to point out, I'm not pregnant."
As Susanna - who has three children - went to carry on, Piers, 51, halted proceedings by exclaiming: "Whoa, whoa, what? Where did that come from?"
As Susanna tried to explain why she didn't want viewers to assume she was a pregnant TV presenter like Bridget in the film, Piers interrupted.

He said: "You just made a completely unprovoked announcement you're not pregnant?"
Pausing, Susanna replied: "Yes...why did you think I looked pregnant?"
Looking aghast, Piers answered: "I didn't even think about you and pregnancy."
Susanna, who looked stunning in a vibrant red fitted dress, confessed: "I have eaten a lot over the summer actually."
The pair were on fine sparring form on their first day back after the summer break, but Susanna also took a moment to pay a compliment to her co-star regarding his appearance early on in the show.
She said: "I have to say, you do look more chiselled since I last saw you.
"Have you been going to the gym?"
Piers revealed he had in fact been working on his physique over the summer while in Los Angeles.
"Well, I did do a lot of soul cycle while I was away - that's the same place David Beckham goes to by the way."
"I think he's starting to see me as a bit of a rival in the heartthrob stakes."
