Chris Brown claims he was ‘set up’ by accuser Baylee Curran and has ‘text proof’
Singer, who was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon after 14 hour stand off at LA home, says he's innocent
SINGER Chris Brown claims he was 'set up' by accuser Baylee Curran and there is a 'smoking gun' to prove it.
The rapper who was involved in a stand off with police and arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, has protested his innocence in a video.
The clip, provided to shows Brown saying his character has been "defaced."
He says in the video: "I cannot wait till the truth comes to light about this incident and this situation, you know, because my character's been defaced and who I am as a person and my integrity.
"I'm glad that all my real supporters know me, and know the truth and see the truth."
A 911 call to cops was made from Brown's mansion in the Tarzana area of Los Angeles, last Tuesday by Curran, who claims she had a gun pointed at her face by the singer.
It resulted in a 14 hour stand off with police, which ended when they obtained a search warrant for the property and took the singer into custody.
He was later released on $250,000 bail.
Baylee Curran, a beauty pageant winner, was one of a number of guests at the get together the singer was hosting at his home.
She claims he pointed a gun at her face when he became angry after she complimented another man's jewellery and the incident escalated.
However Brown's lawyer, Mark Geragos, sent out a tweet calling the allegations "demonstrably false."
Curran alleges she was standing looking at the box of jewellery when one of the rappers friends told her to " back away from the diamond."
She told ABC News: "That's when Chris came in and said 'I'm so sick of all of you people.'
"He took the gun out put it in my face and said 'get the F out.'"
Geragos believes the singer was set up and says he has text message proof - which was sent to a friend of Curran's before she made the 911 call.

He said the message from Curran read: "This freak Chris Brown is kicking me out of his house because I called his friend's jewelry fake...I'm going to set him up and call the cops and say that he tried to shoot me and that will teach him a lesson.
"I'm going to set his A** up."
Curran stands by her claims and a representative told the news programme she handed her phone over to the authorities.
Geragos told ABC News: "There was a search that was done.
"They went in, and said they had a description of the piece of jewelry.
"Not found in the house.
"They went in, a gun, not found in the house."
Police are looking at surveillance footage - but Geragos says: "There's no Chris Brown waving a gun.
"No Baylee looking at a box of jewelry."
The singer is next due in court on September 20.
He has not been charged.
