MEAT LOAF fans around the world are in mourning following the death of the Bat Out Of Hell star.

The rock legend has sadly passed away aged 74 leaving behind his two children.

Who are Meat Loaf's children?

Born Michael Lee Aday on September 27, 1947, Meat Loaf shot to fame with his powerful, wide-ranging voice.

He was known and beloved by fans around the world and went on over 30 tours

But Meat Loaf wasn't just a rockstar, he was also dad to two daughters - Pearl and Amanda.

Pearl

Pearl was born in 1975 and her mum, Leslie Edmonds, was Meat Loaf's first wife.

Her unnamed father was a drummer in singer Janis Joplin’s group, Full Tilt Boogie Band, but she was adopted by Meat Loaf as a young child.

Pearl was a member of his touring band Neverland Express for nine years starting in the mid-1990s.

Pearl has appeared on numerous albums and in various tours and television performances with her stepfather, both as backing singer and in duets.

She is currently the lead singer of her own band called Pearl.

Pearl married Anthrax founder Scott Ian Rosenfeld in 2011 and they have one son, Revel Young Ian.

Amanda

Amanda is Pearl's half-sister and was born in 1981.

Her mum is also Leslie Aday.

She is an actress who is best known for her recurring role as Dora Mae Dreifuss on the first season of the HBO series Carnivàle (2003–05).

Her film roles include Crazy In Alabama, The Mummy An' The Armadillo, South Dakota: A Woman's Right To Choose and The Trials of Cate McCall.

In addition to her work on Carnivàle, she has guest starred on the hit TV shows Boston Public, ER, Private Practice, and My Name Is Earl.

What has Meat Loaf's family said about his death?

Meat Loaf died on January 20, 2022, although no cause of death is yet to be revealed.

In a heartbreaking tribute posted on the star's official Facebook page, it was revealed the star passed away with his daughters and wife by his side.

The statement read: "Our hearts are broken to announce that the incomparable Meat Loaf passed away tonight with his wife Deborah by his side.

"Daughters Pearl and Amanda and close friends have been with him throughout the last 24 hours.

"His amazing career spanned 6 decades that saw him sell over 100 Million albums worldwide and star in over 65 movies, including “Fight Club”, “Focus”, “Rocky Horror Picture Show” and “Wayne’s World.” “Bat Out of Hell” remains one of the top 10 selling albums of all time."
