The One Show’s Alex Jones is glowing as she reveals hint of her cute baby bump
The star, 39, had feared she had left it too late to fall pregnant
ALEX Jones was glowing as she showed off her blossoming baby bump one week after revealing her pregnancy on Twitter.
The One Show presenter couldn’t help but smile as she left the BBC studios last night.
Her happy news comes after she spoke of her fears that she had left it too late to become a mother, reported.
She said: “The penny hadn’t dropped for me, I had just met this boy, I had a lovely job although it’s not more important than a family.”
She met husband Chris aged 34, but neither of them considered how her age might impact on their ability to have children.
She also spoke of the pressure on women to start a family adding: “We got married and less than two days later the first person said ‘So, when are you going to have a baby?’
“It’s a very personal question. Men never get asked that question.”
Alex was speaking at the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists after researching fertility for a documentary.
Before falling pregnant the presenter told that she ‘doesn’t regret’ leaving it so late.
She said: “I wanted to marry someone who would be a great father. He came along when I was older and now children could happen, which is great. You can’t rush these things.”
The Welsh star looked stylish as she left studios in casual black skinny jeans and a check shirt, accessorising with a Prada handbag and silver watch.
Keeping her look low-key, Alex’s glossy hair was in lose waves and her makeup natural, just adding a touch of blusher – or perhaps that was just her natural glow.
Aptly, the presenter was interviewing Renee Zellweger about her role in Bridget Jones’s Baby on the show.
The star has been inundated with well wishes from fans since announcing the news and she took to the social media site to thank everyone for their kind words.
Speaking on the One Show a few days ago, Alex revealed that she has felt great during her pregnancy so far.
She said: “Lots of you had guessed – I’d been trying to breathe in, but now the secret’s out I can relax. And breathe out!
“I’ve had no sickness and no tiredness. I feel great.”
